Artificial Intelligence is coming with a vengeance. It really amazes me to see how many things are being done that previously took two or more people to do.
There are several examples that I can cite here. One of them, and perhaps the most common, is in fast food and even clothing stores.
Before, you entered the store and were greeted by an attendant. Today, some have very well developed self-service, in which the machines do everything.
And what about chatbots? When we enter an e-commerce site to make a purchase, they become real virtual assistants guiding us.
But how far will artificial intelligence replace human labor?
Honestly, it’s hard to assume, but I believe the time will come when most jobs as we know them will be replaced.
A good example of this is ChatGPT. It was released in November last year and is already making waves. Some say that this artificial intelligence will even write books.
Of course, it’s hard to think of how a robot, without emotions, could express itself in a way that would entertain people’s attention. I have some doubts.
But I see that it is not impossible for this to happen. The robot even took a test at ENEM, and oddly enough, it was better than many students.
He answered questions, did the writing and countless calculations that many people have immense difficulty in doing. With such progress, what do you think 10, 20 years from now?
Caring for artificial intelligence
Authorities like Bill Gates and other people connected to the technology area have already warned about the dangers of artificial intelligence for humanity.
There are countless science fiction movies that show the creation dominating the creator. I just don’t believe we’re going to get to that point.
Like every good optimist, I believe that we can use artificial intelligence to our advantage, improving food production, reducing the most boring jobs and creating a more equal and just society.
A lot of people dream of a more equal world, but how can we have a more equal world while we still need people to do those jobs that nobody wants?
The social structure itself creates inequality. But as these underemployed jobs are replaced by machines, the more intellectually evolved society will become.
The advancement of AI in the coming years
I see that for the next few years we will have a great advance in artificial intelligence, and that this will help a lot in several areas of knowledge.
Scientific discoveries, new learning methods, and even new professions should emerge due to the advancement of artificial intelligence in the world.
It remains to be seen how far this will be used for good or for evil. I hope that the morality of human beings makes them use technology to create a more humane and fair world for everyone.
