Why is socialising important in the company?

-

When the end of the year comes, the scene of people socialising comes to the forefront of our minds, doesn’t it?

In my opinion, socialising is something fundamental within companies. That’s when socialising is promoted.

As much as we are socialising with people on a daily basis, it is different than in a relaxed environment.

I see that socialising has to be part of the organisations’ calendar, as an important moment for several reasons.

Helps to awaken creativity

Human beings are creative by nature. Just the fact of thinking makes us creative people. After all, all thinking is a creation of our mind.

However, when we are put under pressure we lose the creative process a bit, and that is a bad thing indeed. Whereas at the get-together is a time when we are not under pressure. We are free and so our thoughts flow more easily.

So in a relaxed conversation, it’s not surprising that brilliant ideas come up.

Improves the working environment

The work environment is often overloaded. If not, there is a sense of rivalry between people.

Most days, employees talk to each other only as much as is necessary. And even if the company has a culture of unity, this is difficult to see on a daily basis.

By promoting frequent get-togethers, the company can break this tense atmosphere and get employees to know each other better.

Many have similar tastes, affinities, and don’t even know it for lack of opportunity to talk to each other.

However, when they socialise, these affinities come to the surface, and this creates a much better engagement between employees, strengthening the team spirit.

It generates an increase in trust among employees

Finally, I cannot fail to say that the confraternization increases the feeling of trust among the employees within the company.

This is a simple point to understand. You don’t trust someone you don’t know, but you trust people you know, don’t you?

Therefore, as the bonds of friendship are strengthened between you and the work team, there is an increase in trust. And that improves the organisational culture.

The result is that employees become much more engaged, and even true friends who take that friendship outside the company.

So, in my opinion, managers need to have the ability to bring the New Year’s Eve atmosphere into every month of the year. Do you agree?
