From startups to fintechs: my entry into the new ERA

-

That was a morning that seemed like any other. I woke up, had my breakfast and watched the news before starting work.

I came across a news item that caught my attention: a possible epidemic of Covid-19. At the time, I didn’t know how it could turn the world upside down.

Honestly, I didn’t give it much thought on that cold January morning. After a few days, I noticed that the situation was really getting worse.

It didn’t even take a month and then came the news of the pandemic, then the lockdown and the despair of everyone who like me undertakes the physical format.

What to do now?

That was the first question that came to my mind. I had been studying digital formats for some time and already offered online English courses.

I knew this would be the future. But I did not imagine that the future would come knocking at my door so quickly, and let’s say, desperately.

Just like thousands of other entrepreneurs, I was forced to reinvent myself. There was no other way. This was the only plausible way.

I intensified my studies in digital marketing, created some online products and saw that there was a great demand that needed to be met.

But what unveiled itself before me was something even greater: I found the world of startups and fintechs in full growth.

The future was right in front of me

At that moment, studying new possibilities I came across a new world I already knew, but had not yet ventured into.

It was then that I saw that I could go further. I love SEDA, it is the school that has made many dreams come true in my life.

In fact, we are increasingly engaged in creating new content, opening new doors and new possibilities. But I saw that I could also encourage other businesses, becoming an angel investor.

That was the beginning of my flirtation with startups and fintechs

From that moment on I started to look more closely at startups and fintechs in the market. I started to analyse new ideas, consider innovative businesses and risk myself in a new world.

I can say that in the short time I’ve been in this market, I’ve learned a lot, a lot. And I am proud to know that I have encouraged many ideas.

Some didn’t work out, others are starting to get going, and some are already taking off. What I saw is that above all ideas, it is people who make this world of startups fantastic.

After all, they are the ones who think of situations that can improve the world, contributing for a new ERA to reign here. And that fills me with hope in knowing that we are building a better and fairer environment for everyone!
