Today I would like to share with you a celebration that fills me with pride and gratitude. In fact, when I remember the journey that brought me here, my eyes fill with tears.
In 2024, SEDA College will be celebrating its 15th anniversary, and I couldn’t be happier to see the impact we have made on the lives of thousands of students around the world.
Our Journey: 15 Years of Transformation
When I founded SEDA College, my goal was simple: to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students from all over the world could learn English and, at the same time, feel at home.
Looking back today, I see that we not only achieved that goal, but also went beyond. We have welcomed more than 17,000 students of different nationalities, each bringing their own culture, stories and aspirations.
SEDA has become more than a school; it has become a global community, where students from all over the world connect in one place.
Celebrating inclusion and social impact
Throughout our journey, we have always believed that education has the power to transform lives. This principle has guided initiatives such as the scholarship program for Ukrainian refugees, which began in 2022 at a time of great need.
Since then, we have awarded 280 full scholarships, offering not only education but a new chance at life for these individuals. This is just one example of how SEDA has committed to inclusion and social responsibility.
And now, to mark our 15th anniversary, we have launched the “SEDA Kids” project, a series of children’s books that make learning English more accessible and fun for children aged 2 to 10.
For me, this project is especially meaningful because it is not limited to classrooms in Ireland; we are taking these books to underprivileged communities in Brazil, expanding our social impact.
The gift is all yours
Although we are celebrating 15 years, the ones who receive the gift are you, our students and future students. We are preparing a series of new developments, including new classes and even more personalized support programs.
Our goal is to continue offering an excellent education, always with a renewed focus on inclusion and diversity.
Reflection and the future
With each step of this journey, I am reminded that none of this would be possible without the dedication and support of our students, employees and partners. As I look to the future, I see a bright path full of opportunities for SEDA College.
