SEDA College Online launches second level of English for Jiu-Jitsu

-

Today, I am pleased to announce that SEDA College Online has recently launched a series of Jiu-Jitsu English courses.

Our purpose with this is to further boost athletes in international competitions, but that’s not all we’re doing for athletes.

We also sponsor the official Gabrieli Pessanha team, which won the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship 3 times, and we support Brazilian athletes with sponsorship, scholarships and various other activities.

Why is English important for athletes?

You might be asking yourself now: does Tiago, a Jiu-Jitsu athlete, really need to learn English? What I have to say is that this is fundamental in their lives. Especially because they will compete in several international competitions.

As a result, in these competitions outside Brazil, they will communicate with much more confidence and security, which will guarantee more independence.

And at the same time that we support the athletes, we also benefit from the marketing, since we are present in their Kimono, and even on social networks.

It’s a complete win-win relationship. For this reason, I have already stated several times here about the importance of companies sponsoring and investing in sports.

Support for social projects

Everyone knows that English is the most spoken language in the world. And learning it is knowledge that the athlete will have forever. It makes a tremendous difference in his life.

So, every year I set aside a quota of R$100,000 in scholarships for students from social projects, such as those in Cidade de Deus, so that they can expand their horizons by learning the English language.

In all, there are more than 400 children benefiting from social projects with access to European-level education through our online platform.

Just to name a few projects we have contributed to are: Karina Dias, Jiu-Jitsu Tribe Institute, Making a Difference, Batuk, Casa do Conto, Forming Champions, Maxaguapé, Paddling for Citizenship, Espaço Mussa, ALAMG, Ascending Minds, Coliseu, Golden Friends , Bola de Neve, Morro dos Champions, Time Guaiuba, Guardian Peru and Guardian Mongolia.

TMD House

We also sponsor Professor Márcio de Deus’ TMD House Jiu-Jitsu team. Who is part of it is the world champion Gabrielle Pessanha.

Vanessa Melo, the CEO of SEDA Online, recently told me that the intention is to do much more for the sport. Even because, the support cannot be only for athletes who are on the podium.

We need to support those underserved community competitors, and invest in their education and future. That’s what will guarantee not only their future as athletes, but also as better people.
