My thanks to all the fintechs I’ve believed in!

-

Those who know me know how enthusiastic I am about technology. So much so that I am always on the lookout for new startups and fintechs to invest in.

Some businesses are promising, others not so much. But that’s the life of an investor: risks and challenges. Mistakes and successes. Sometimes we get it wrong, sometimes we get it right. But what remains is the learning from each one of the businesses we set up.

I usually joke that each fintech I invest in is a little brick. And the sum of all these bricks becomes a beautiful building, which is our learning.

Abmex: the dream that came true

Without a doubt, one of the startups I believed in the most and which is bearing good fruits is Abmex. We are becoming one of the biggest in the sector.

The fintech was born with the purpose of helping the small producer to stand out in the market, not charging any kind of fee on credit card sales.

It has been so successful that by 2023 we expect to more than double our revenues. And that’s why I can’t stop thanking this immense school I’ve had.

I learned a lot from them. I saw how the process worked from the beginning and how difficult it was to get to where we are now. And this is just the beginning.

Poupay: a digital bank for women

Another startup that I could not fail to mention is Poupay, which next year will become a digital bank exclusively for women.

During the trajectory we went through many ups and downs, strategy changes, reconfiguration of the look, social networks and now we are closer to our goal.

The idea is to generate empowerment for all women who have the face of Brazil. This fintech has brought a lot of learning to my life, and I couldn’t help but thank everyone.

Other start-ups that have marked my trajectory

There are so many startups that have marked my year that I could make the mistake of forgetting any of them. Another one that I could not fail to mention is Movepay.

This is a digital bank aimed at the Brazilian immigrant who wants to come and live in Ireland. The idea is to make life easier in relation to opening your account in Euro.

We are also starting the Exchange Financing, a credit startup, focused on helping people who want to make an exchange, but are without money.

In addition, I could not fail to thank so many other projects that unfortunately fell by the wayside and that I could not give due attention because of the rush.

In these last days of 2022, I can only thank all the fintechs I believed in, and say that I will continue to believe in you next year. After all, the rocket is just taking off.
