As you all know, next month we are going to inaugurate the Brazil-Ireland Chamber of Commerce. We still don’t have a designed work format, but we intend to act on several business fronts.
The idea is to train Brazilians who arrive here so that they have a better foundation when starting a company in the country. And this we intend to do through various programs.
Networking events
Among the programs we intend to launch are networking events. That is, there will be round tables, chats and even guidance for those who want to start a business in the country, or who have already started.
This is a way for entrepreneurs to expand their contact networks and thus find opportunities beyond the imagined.
Through lectures, workshops and chats, we intend to bring relevant topics about digital marketing, the Irish market, opportunities and threats to undertake in the country and much more.
Consulting and Mentoring
In addition to networking events, one of the proposals we have is to create consulting and mentoring programs to guide those who intend to start a business, or those who have already started, but are having difficulties.
This is even a way of building bridges between those who have a good idea but are out of capital and those who have capital but do not know what to invest in.
In these programs, we intend to address topics such as finance, marketing, market, operations management and other subjects relevant to the current scenario.
Who knows, we might even be able to think of projects in which we help would-be entrepreneurs to develop their own business plans and even incubate companies in their initial phase.
Of course, these are just assumptions, because everything will be thought out together, but certainly our goal will be to help entrepreneurs in the country.
Strategic partnerships
Finally, the program itself is the result of a great partnership between public and private initiative. And for that reason, I could not fail to say that one of the Chamber of Commerce’s attributions is to promote strategic partnerships.
The central idea is to show the government of both countries how the public-private partnership can be beneficial, because in any case, companies will generate jobs, raise taxes and promote economic development in the country.
This means that the more entrepreneurs willing to take risks, the greater the development and consequently the country’s GDP.
But to start a business, the entrepreneur needs to have a favorable business environment, in which he feels motivated to risk his capital and time to put his dream into practice.
Generally speaking, the Brazil-Ireland Chamber of Commerce will play an important role here. And I’m already anxious to start working on this new project that begins.
