Everyone here knows that I am a staunch supporter of the idea that everyone should do an exchange. After all, I think this is a unique and fantastic experience, capable of transforming people’s lives.
When I opened SEDA College, my biggest motivation was to help anyone who wanted to do an exchange to also go through this life experience. This was, in fact, one of the greatest achievements I have ever had.
However, over time I realized that not all students wanted to go to the same place. And until then I only helped people who wanted to live in Ireland. That’s when another dream was born.
The emergence of SEDA Intercâmbios
Thinking about helping exchange students realize their dream of living in other countries, I decided over time to create SEDA Intercâmbios, and from that moment on my achievement was almost complete.
We started to form partnerships with other institutions, I met a lot of cool people from other corners of the world, many schools that taught English, and that’s how we put together the plan.
Today there are more than 11 countries served by SEDA Intercâmbios. Students can choose a place practically anywhere in the world. From North America to Oceania, we have an ideal destination for everyone.
The evolution of SEDA College
In Ireland, SEDA College has also developed. We stopped operating solely in Dublin and started operating in Cork, which is one of the most promising cities in the country, and a true technology hub.
With the opening of this unit we begin to provide our students with an opportunity to study and live in a city where Irish culture is even deeper.
After all, as Dublin is a megalopolis, it welcomes people from all over the world, and it is not always possible for our students to delve deeply into the country’s culture.
However, there are still students who want to experience living in a bigger city, and so they continue with the Dublin option. But despite the regrets, the icing on the cake was still missing.
The beginning through SEDA On-line
SEDA On-line, which was created to overcome the obstacles of the pandemic, became the icing on the cake, the starting point for many people who want to do an exchange. The student begins by studying English in their own country.
This helps you decide which destination would be best for you, as well as giving you more security for a while to know if you are really prepared to live the experience of an exchange in another country.
Therefore, what I see is that we are seeking to act on several fronts to make exchange students’ lives unique. After all, as I’ve been saying here for some time, I believe that everyone who can afford it should do an exchange.
And I’m very happy to be able to help people make their dream come true. Each exchange student who has the opportunity to live abroad is as if it were part of a childhood wish that I had fulfilled.
