Do you feel valued at the company you work for?

-

I recently saw a survey showing that most professionals don’t feel valued at the company they work for.

And this is one of the biggest reasons that make them resign, or even stop wearing the shirt, and start doing what is strictly necessary.

Not that I think an employee needs to kill himself for his work. Far from it. I believe that everyone needs to have a balance between physical and mental health.

But I believe that when you start doing only what is necessary, something inside you has died. It’s as if the glow disappears from your eyes.

How to change a situation like that?

Notice how this is a delicate problem. After all, you have stopped working hard precisely because you don’t feel valued.

But at the same time, you’re also stagnating in your career, not investing in it. Which means you’ve stopped investing in yourself.

Notice that this is a problem that affects only and exclusively you. And do you know what my advice is at this moment?

Do not be afraid. That’s right, if you’re not being valued in the company, you don’t need to be afraid of changing and trying something new.

Why continue there, damaging your own career, living like a zombie just because of the fear of trying something different and it not working out?

Positive thinking opens countless doors

Even if you are told that the market is saturated, that jobs like yours are hard to come by. Don’t listen and go after your dreams.

Even if you go through a few months of difficulty, you will certainly find a company that will value you as a professional.

You’ll feel that sparkle in your eyes again, that enormous desire to contribute to the company, and you’ll feel rewarded for that.

It’s much better to take a risk now than to simply wither away in your career. Bury your life behind an unhappiness for lack of recognition.

Believe me, you can go further

Positive thinking, as I said, opens doors. So know that you can go further. So don’t paralyze yourself because of fear.

Focus on how you would like to be recognised. Envision yourself in a company receiving that recognition you crave so much.

Create this whole scenario in your mind, and then go for it. By the time you least realize it you will already be enjoying all that which is now just a dream.

Remember that everything around us was once a dream in someone’s mind. So, don’t bury your career for fear of change.
