Many downtrodden people find that the greatest challenge of undertaking work outside of Brazil is courage. Courage to leave everything behind, start from zero, face a new language, a different culture.
But after years of living and building businesses in Ireland, I discovered that courage is the first step — what really sustains the journey is humility.
When you are in another country, it does not matter what title you have in Brazil, the company you command or the diploma you earned. Você recomeça do zero.

Eu vivi isso na pele. I worked in simple functions, learned by observation and made mistakes that I would never make if I was at home. But it was precisely that process that turned me into a better entrepreneur.
Humility taught me to hear, to observe what works, to understand local behavior before trying to reply or what I knew.
The truth is that undertaking outside Brazil is not about proving your bravery, but rather about controlling your ego. It is knowing that you do not dominate the game, that as you return you will change and that your best weapon is the ability to learn quickly.
With humility he opens doors that with courage, sozinha, he cannot push.
As time went on, I realized that global leadership was born from this active investigation. It’s not about importing ideas, but about building bridges between cultures.
When you respect the way people think, age and learn, the business gains soul — and that is what makes the difference.
Now, if someone asks me what I know to undertake foreign affairs, I would answer without hesitation: be humble or enough to learn every day.
Because courage takes you to the airport.
But it is with humility that I keep you on the road.
