Since I founded SEDA College, I have always wanted to see the transformation that education can bring to people’s lives.
One of the greatest examples of this impact is the journey of Vanessa Melo, who started as a student at SEDA and now holds the position of CEO of SEDA Online. Vanessa’s story is a testament to the power of education and personal determination.
The Beginning of Vanessa’s Journey
Vanessa Melo came from a humble family in Manaus. Her father was a motorcycle courier and her mother was a housewife. She was always a determined young woman, with a great passion for learning and growing.
When she arrived in Ireland, she faced numerous challenges, including mastering English and adapting to a new culture. Despite the difficulties, she never gave up. It was at SEDA that she found the support and opportunity she needed to transform her life.
From Student to Leader

That’s why it didn’t take long for her to start working on important projects within SEDA College.
Her strategic vision, combined with her personal experience as a student, allowed her to quickly rise within the organization. When the idea of creating SEDA Online came up, Vanessa was the ideal person to lead this project.

As the founder of SEDA, it is a great source of pride for me to see the growth of someone who started out as a student and is now leading one of our biggest projects.
