The global economy is facing increasing challenges with the depletion of natural resources, the growing production of waste and climate change.
That is why I recently started studying a topic that I believe is crucial: the circular economy, which is emerging as a promising approach to transform the current economic model, based on linearity, into a more sustainable system.

What’s the circular economy?
The circular economy is an economic model that aims to eliminate waste and promote the continuous use of resources.
Unlike the traditional linear model — where products are manufactured, used and discarded — the circular economy proposes a closed cycle, in which materials are constantly reused, recycled or remanufactured.
This system is based on three fundamental principles: reduce, reuse and recycle.
The benefits of the circular economy
Adopting the circular economy brings countless benefits to both companies and consumers and the environment. For companies, the circular model can reduce costs by maximizing the use of materials and minimizing waste.
In addition, it promotes innovation, encouraging the development of new, more efficient and sustainable products and processes.
For consumers, the circular economy offers the opportunity to access higher quality and longer-lasting products, often at more affordable prices. This is because the circular model prioritizes the maintenance and repair of products, extending their useful life.
In the environmental sphere, the benefits are even more evident. The circular economy contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, reduces the extraction of natural resources and minimizes the generation of waste.
This model also promotes biodiversity and ecological balance, reducing pressure on ecosystems.
