My Experience at the JJ World League in California

-

Last Saturday, May 25th, I had the honor of participating in the JJ World League in California, one of the most prestigious jiu-jitsu competitions in the world.

It was an incredible experience, full of challenges and learning, and I would like to share a little of this journey with you. Hope you like it!

Preparation for the competition

Preparing for an event of this caliber requires dedication, discipline and a lot of training. For months, I adjusted my routine to include daily jiu-jitsu training, fitness sessions, and a strict diet.

I worked intensely to improve my techniques, correct flaws and mentally prepare myself for the fights. Mental preparation is as important as physical preparation.

Meditation and visualization were essential tools to stay calm and focused during training and, especially, in competition. Support from friends and teammates was also key to keeping my motivation high.

Arrival at the event

Arriving at the competition venue was a mix of nervousness and excitement. The JJ World League is known for its impeccable organization and the high level of competitors.

The atmosphere was electric, with athletes from all over the world ready to give their best on the mat. The first thing I did upon arrival was register and go through the weigh-in.

I then found my warm-up space and started preparing for the first fight of the day. The adrenaline was running high, but I felt prepared to face the challenges that would come.

Reflections and thanks

Participating in the JJ World League was an unforgettable experience. Each fight taught me something new, not just about jiu-jitsu, but about resilience, strategy and the importance of always being prepared for the unexpected.

Competing in an event of this size reinforced my love for the sport and my desire to continue evolving as an athlete.

I would like to thank everyone who was by my side at every stage of this journey, my teammates, who supported me in training and competition, and my SEDA College family, whose unconditional support was essential.

I also thank the organizers of the JJ World League for the opportunity to participate in such a well-organized and prestigious event.

Finally, I leave a message for all jiu-jitsu practitioners: never give up on your dreams. The journey is arduous, but every effort is worth it. I hope to meet you all at the next championship, ready for new challenges and victories. Oss!
