I always knew I would be a black belt in Jiu Jitsu, from the first moment!

-

From the first day I entered the dojo, I felt a deep connection with Jiu Jitsu. It wasn’t just a sport or a hobby; it was a call.

With each fall, each immobilization, I saw a lesson, an additional step on the ladder to reach the black belt. This was not just a goal, but a certainty that resided in my heart.

Maybe because of the determination I carry in my soul, from the first moment I started practicing Jiu-Jitsu I already knew that that black belt would be mine.

The challenges along the way

However, it is important to know that the journey to a black belt is full of challenges. Injuries, defeats, days when my body asked to give up. But every obstacle was an opportunity to strengthen my resilience.

I learned to see each difficulty as a test of my determination, a chance to prove to myself that my dream was unshakable. Each training session was a lesson not only in Jiu Jitsu techniques, but in self-knowledge.

I learned to control my emotions, stay calm under pressure, and respect my opponents as teachers. These lessons have transcended the mat, shaping my character and approach to life. On this journey, I was not alone.

I had the support of an incredible community. Coaches, training partners, friends and family – they all played a crucial role in keeping me motivated and focused. They taught me the value of humility, teamwork and mutual respect.

The day of achievement

And then, the day arrived. The moment the teacher tied the black belt around my waist. It was a whirlwind of emotions. I confess that I couldn’t hold back the tears.

Pride, gratitude, joy. It was not just the recognition of a technical skill, but the celebration of a journey of personal growth, persistence and passion.

Being a black belt is not the end, it is just the beginning. It is a responsibility to continue growing, to teach others and to honor the values of Jiu Jitsu.

Now, I look back and see that every step was necessary. Every challenge, every victory, every defeat has brought me here.

Today I even see that the journey to a black belt is a metaphor for life. It teaches that determination, resilience and faith in oneself are fundamental to achieving any goal.

I always knew I would be a black belt, not because it was easy, but because I was willing to do what was necessary to make that dream come true.
