We all have a purpose in life. We often walk through tortuous paths before finding our purpose that brings us that delicious feeling of tranquility and happiness.
My purpose I found when I came to live in Ireland. As life opened many opportunities for me, I was sure that all I wanted was to help and impact people’s lives. In countless ways.
One of them was through SEDA College, collaborating with those who dream of living abroad. School brought me countless professional accomplishments, but my restlessness also led me to other projects.
ABMEX: the birth of a dream
Among the projects I invested in and which I believe will be very promising is ABMEX. But Tiago, why did you invest in this startup? The answer to that question is simple: just like me, she also has a purpose.
That’s right. ABMEX is much more than a payment solution platform. It is a fintech dedicated to helping small producers to easily launch their infoproducts in the digital market.
How many times have you not thought about launching a book, software, a course, a mentorship, or any other infoproduct and come across all the bureaucracy and cost of the large platforms on the market?
When Alexander and Breno came to me, I saw a twinkle in their eyes. I saw that they weren’t just interested in being one more. They also wanted to impact the lives of small producers.
It is the purpose that drives companies
After some time of conversation, I concluded that it was really worth investing in those two. After all, they were eager to make it happen. Take the plans off paper and launch them on the market.
To this day, I see that they are very prudent with accounts and investments, and unlike the mass layoffs that took place at the beginning of this year, they managed to hold on, as they took full advantage of the good times.
And so, we continue to move towards transforming ABMEX into one of the largest platforms for launching digital products on the market, with a great differential: zero fee on the credit card.
In fact, this has always been our guideline, and we never thought about changing that strategy, although day and night we studied different ways to monetize the startup. After all, a business needs revenue to survive.
Purpose above profit
However, even though each and every company needs revenue and profit to consolidate itself in the market, I believe that those that stand out are those that put purpose above earnings.
Companies that embrace the cause of helping as many people as possible, that employ, that have empathy for their employees and that are focused on helping their target audience to solve a pain.
Therefore, ABMEX is much more than a startup, it is a dream that has come true and whose purpose is to help the greatest number of digital producers to take their plans off paper and put them into practice.
